Who is that Donald Trump?



Real estate developer and business magnate of America, Donald John Trump was born June 14, 1946, in Queens, New York. In the year 1971 Donald Trump became involved in large profitable building projects in Manhattan. He opened the Grand Hyatt in 1980, which made him the city's best-known and most controversial developer. And in the year 2004 Trump began starring in the hit NBC reality series The Apprentice, which also became an offshoot for The Celebrity Apprentice. Donald Trump’s extravagant lifestyle, outspoken manner, and role on the NBC reality show The Apprentice have made him a well-known celebrity as he was  in the position 17th on the 2011 Forbes Celebrity 100 list.

In 2010, Donald Trump expressed his interest in becoming a candidate for President of the United States in the 2012 election, however in May 2011, he announced that he would not be a candidate for the President of the United States.  In the year 2013, Donald Trump was a featured speaker at the Conservative Political Action Conference

Looking into the business dictionary, motivation means  Internal and external factors that stimulate desire and energy in people to be continually interested and committed to a job, role or subject, or to make an effort to attain a goal.
Motivation results from the interaction of both conscious and unconscious factors such as the intensity of desire or need, incentive or reward value of the goal, and expectations of the individual and of his or her peers. These factors are the reasons one has for behaving a certain way. An example is a student that spends extra time studying for a test because he or she wants a better grade in the class.

As an employer Donald Trump, definitely wants the best out of the best of his employees. Donald Trump has his own method of motivation which will be the "In-Your-Face" style motivates leadership. According to Trump’s actual employees, he’s very much like the man you see on the show, but he’s also a man filled with genuine compassion beyond anything the cameras could ever show -- yet the media never picks up on the good press. Donald Trump employees say Trump works hard to keep his kindness out of the spotlight, but in truth he is far more generous than his reputation would lead anyone to believe.

For me, motivation in workplace simply means allowing one to be confident in expressing their feeling during discussion. Morover, motivation means giving one identity by accomplishment to prove that they are worth for in being part of that company. 

What are the technique he uses to recruitment more employees?


If you would to look up the word recruitment into business dictionary.com, recruitment would mean The process of finding and hiring the best-qualified candidate  for a job opening, in a timely and cost effective manner. The recruitment process includes analyzing the requirements of a job, attracting employees to that job, screening and selecting applicants, hiring, and integrating the new employee to the organization.
Being the employer, how does Donald Trump recruit the staff he needs? To be working for Donald Trump, one does not only have to have certificate proving their qualification but Donald Trump looks for the type of attitude they carry to identify them. The reason is because Donald Trump always mentions ,“What separates the winners from the losers is how a person reacts to each new twist of fate”.

Organizational Structure is a norm to any company, wether it could be a minor or major company. Organizational structure provides guidance to all employees by laying out the official reporting relationships that govern the workflow of the company. In addition to the numerous luxury residential real estate developments in New York City, Mr. Trump's holdings include superior office buildings, hotels, casinos, golf courses, recreational facilities, a modeling and talent agency and an international beauty pageant organization. The quintessential businessman, Mr. Trump has always been committed to taking a personal and direct involvement in all aspects of his projects.

What are his leadership styles?


Every leader in this world has their own type of leadership skills. The leadership skill includes autocratic, democratic, laissez-faire and bureaucracy. An autocratic type of leader mainly focuses in completing the goal and portrays himself or herself as a sole decision maker. On the other hand, a bureaucracy type of leader makes the life of employees easier as the employees refer to rules and policies to understand certain policies, but this method is very ineffective in teams and organizations that rely on flexibility, creativity or innovation. 
However, the laissez- faire type of leadership gives least guidance respond to their own responsibility, this type of leaders do not interfere as they give freedom for their employees in making decision. Lastly, the democratic type of leader, are usually portrayed in a group as the members of the group take more participative role in making the decision. The employees feel more confident and respected as their ideas can be shared and voiced out.
Donald Trump is a typical of an autocratic leader who centralizes decision-making, and wields absolute power. He involves himself with the minutest of details of his enterprise, and limits inputs from a select few in his team. And the most important is he is nevertheless a marked departure from most other autocratic leaders in the sense he is not vicious. Although he could be a little “rough” and “bossy,” he respects his employees and is liked by all.  “The Celebrity Apprentice” or “The Apprentice” can easily see that “The Donald’s” contestants, employees, and family members revere and adore him. Dominance also provides him with a thick skin and an unusually large dollop of courage. It is clear that he is highly individualistic which means that he has an overwhelming desire to take control of essentially every facet of every situation, person, place, or thing he comes into contact with. In order to win, he knows that he must work harder than anyone else and he must never drop his guard.
Personally, I admire Donald Trump for the determination he has especially whenever he wants to strive his goal. He has an overwhelming desire to win. He has this dominance, which provides him with a thick skin and an unusually large dollop of courage. It is clear that he is highly individualistic which means that he has an overwhelming desire to take control of essentially every facet of every situation, person, place, or thing he comes into contact with. In order to win, he knows that he must work harder than anyone else and he must never drop his guard. However, I don’t prefer his leadership skills when he becomes very angry when faced at potential failure or disrespect.

Something for us all to reflect on..

  "To what extend does Donald Trump play a role in shaping their subordinates?"
   "Business is less about management and more about leadership. To what extent is this true?"



Based on my research I could evaluate that Donald Trump is more of an autocratic and democratic type of leader. 

The reason is simply because he directs things which are suppose to be done and method which can be used to achieve their goal. However during discussion , Donald Trump allows his subordinates to contribute their ideas but of course Donald Trump is the one whom finalizes the final decision.
Business is less about management and more about leadership. To what extend is this true? There is no specific answer to this question, because it depends on the situation and the type of people we are dealing with for an instance
